I was unsure whether to keep this newsletter going because, behind the scenes at THC Primary Care , my core business, things are really busy and are taking up all of my time, but seeing more people subscribe to this newsletter each week is motivating.
So whilst I will keep sharing, it may be a bit sporadic ☺️.
This newsletter is for you if you’re a healthcare consultant looking for ideas to grow your consultancy.
My Tech Journey (And Why It Matters For You)
One of the things that may be interesting to some of you is that since November 2024, I have made it my personal mission to create an online tool that others could use. And I have been delivering on that promise—turning Excel spreadsheets into interactive online applications and creating a digital suite to support primary care networks.
It’s just me playing around and getting to know the tools.
💡 I have learned the difference between a CSV , XLXS, and a JSON file
💡I now know how to use GitHub at its most basic level ( GitHub is a web-based platform used by software developers to store, manage, and share code).
💡I have been using Terminal with Claude Code.
💡I am learning about multiple environments ( Multi-environment deployment means putting your applications in different places like development, testing, staging, and production environments).
💡I now understand why you need to turn a PDF into Python before converting it to HTML.
I’m taking the time to immerse myself – watching YouTube videos and listening to podcasts.
A few months ago, I had no idea what any of this was. And this is not just AI—it’s understanding the tools, what certain applications are used for, and how far you can go with one tool before you need to switch to another.
I’m learning through play, creating games and quizzes, and then getting feedback from my audience.
The reality is… if we do not try to understand this tech, our counterparts who are quietly swotting up and taking the time to learn where to strategically place these tools will leave us behind.
I hope this provides food for thought.
