Articulating Your Consulting Philosophy

Articulating Your Consulting Philosophy

This blog is for healthcare business consultants looking to build their business.

Despite almost 10 years of expertise, every day is a school day and I’m always learning. Today, this blog reflects my philosophy when it comes to consulting.

This is not a how-to blog.

I am sharing my current approach to consulting, which focuses on helping clients work with their existing systems to achieve their goals rather than fighting against them.

I have found value in:

🔗Understanding how multiple organisations interact and influence each other

🔗 Finding ways to bring diverse stakeholders together, even when their goals seem misaligned

🔗 Working within political landscapes using system flaws to my advantage

🔗 Making the most of limited resources without burning out teams

🔗 Balancing competing priorities while keeping focused on the goal

🔗 Leveraging competitive and collaborative approaches

Changing a system requires changing its culture – and that takes time I often don’t have.

Instead, I focus on using existing systems strategically, helping clients progress while planting seeds conditions allow. And whilst the past is important, I’m focused on the future.

Each year, I have found that the clearer I am, the more confident I am, and this has helped me attract the best clients and collaborators.

How would you describe your approach/consulting philosophy?
